So I’m going to share something that I learned these past few days – or weeks 😂.
I learned how great it is to forgive. Yes, simple as that. If you’ve experienced it, surely, you’ll understand what I mean and you’ll think that this is not just a piece of a sugarcoated article. 😊
It started like this, when I watching a vlog of Viy and she said: “Mahirap lumapit ang blessings ‘pag di kayo marunong magpatawad”, the statement is something like that, yet sis, the thought is there. 😂
I realized that it’s a wisdom that is worth keeping. The moment I heard that, I did not instantly tell myself that “ok I’ll do this. I’ll start this by now.” No. I did not thought about it that way, but then, I remembered it, at around 12 midnight, when my mind was still wandering and not ready to sleep yet.
So what I did next is – I just forgave all people who hurted me in the past, may it be intentionally or not, whether they did asked for forgiveness or not. However, don’t get me wrong sis. I did not just do it. I did it wholeheartedly. You must not forgive at all if you’re going to do it with 50% of your heart forgiving and the remaining percent having reservations or grudges. No sis. Just no. Also, it would be best if you did not make yourself an exception of people that you should forgive. You may have done something to yourself that sometimes made you kind of hate yourself a bit, like doing the same mistake then promising not to do it again but there you are, repeating the same mistake. Or, not having the courage to get the happiness that you deserve.
So yeah, the very moment you forgive, is the time all the blessings, answered prayers, positivity will come to you. For real. And I tell you sis, it feels surreal. Sobrang solid. 💓 And then, you’ll just thank God for everything and most especially, by giving you the strength to forgive. Also, if something caused you too much pain to not forgive (ik this is the nth time to use this word 😂), still, just surrender it to God and forgive. Do it wholeheartedly. Do it sincerely. Kaya mo ‘yan sis.
In conclusion (is dis research paper?😂), forgetting is ok but forgiving is best. Also, the latter will make your life so much blessed. God can forgive, so who are we, who are mere humans, to not be able to forgive?
Author’s Note: Glory be to God for being able to write this one. I did not expect that I’ll be writing again, and I did not also expect that what I’ll write would be this meaningful. 🌻
